Aflatoun International

This year, millions of young people around the world have been faced with school closings and lockdowns. To help vulnerable kids gain the social and financial education they need to get along and get ahead in life, we're donating to Aflatoun International.

Common Future

The pandemic has hit Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities at nearly double the rate of other demographics — in large part due to economic barriers. To hedge against this in the future, we're donating to Common Future. By bridging the gap for BIPOC entrepreneurs, this non-profit is building a more equitable economy.

She's the First

Throughout the pandemic, women worldwide have stepped back to become caretakers — leading to an increased gender gap in the workplace. To help women regain their footing through education and empowerment, we’re donating to She's the First.

Horizontal Cares

As a certified minority-owned business, Horizontal has a heart for diversity and equality. In fact, one of our corporate tentpoles is to serve our communities for the greater good. This year, as the COVID crisis flipped the world on its head, we established the Horizontal Cares program to support frontline workers, senior citizens and underprivileged families in our community.

Here are several of our 2020 efforts:

Horizontal at St. Therese of New Hope

Horizontal’s Minneapolis team partnered with local favorite Redstone Grill to provide lunch to frontline staff at St. Therese of New Hope.

Horizontal at Blueberry Foundation in Jaipur

Horizontal’s Jaipur team donated to the Blueberry Foundation to help India’s underserved kids pursue a STEM education.

Horizontal at The Residence at North Ridge

We stopped by The Residence at North Ridge to dish out Honey & Mackie’s ice cream and art created by our kids.

Horizontal at Beltrami Park in Minneapolis

We delivered tacos to the Burnsville Police and Fire Department.

Horizontal at Shabaz Hussain Charities

We joined forces with Shabaz Hussain Charities during Ramadan to feed 100 families in the Minneapolis area.

Threw an ice cream social for our own kids (because this year has been incredibly hard on them as well).
